The Peg Taylor Center was established in 1986 through tremendous community effort, and remains the only program of its kind serving Butte, Glenn and Tehama Counties, through our site in Chico.

In this year alone, the Center will provide approximately 90,000 hours of health care and support, including physical, speech and occupational therapies, nursing and personal care, activities, social services, and over 10,000 meals.

Since we opened, we have provided over 1.4 million hours of care.

Services: Adult Day Health Care

Health Care PhotoThe clients who attend the Peg Taylor Center have a wide range of health needs and diagnoses, including stroke, diabetes, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease.

Each client has a personalized treatment plan, which can include nursing care, physical, occupational and speech therapies, social services, dietary counseling and specialized activities, as needed.

Our goal is to address all the aspects of health that will help our clients to avoid further crises—such as falling and breaking a hip, or having serious side effects from medications – and to improve their overall health.

By offering this kind of support, we help our clients to improve and maintain their quality of life despite their serious health problems.

In addition personalized health care services, recreational activities designed for a wide range of interests and abilities take place throughout the day at the Peg Taylor Center. A full dinner is served at noon and transportation is arranged when needed.
